Learn the ancient art of felting and make your own item from scratch or make your own sculpture using soap stone.
Creativity and being creative is a great deal of the healing process in ourselves. By emerging ourselves in a creative process without worrying about the outcome we are able to reach a meditative state of mind and get insights we did not have before. It can also help you to let go off a certain situation or to give things a place, in a mourning process for instance.
Felting
Felting is the process where we turn loose wool into a sturdy fabric using warm water, soap and the warmth of our hands to make a nice personal (hand) bag, hat, slippers or a nice warm baby blanket.
Sculpting
Sculpting is where we going to turn a raw piece of soap stone into a nice and shiny sculpture for you to take home. Soap stone is a very soft stone which is not difficult to work with.
1 to 1 or 2 to 1
Gaia Utra offers the opportunity for 1 to 1 and 1 to 2 both, felting and sculpting workshops to ensure a person centered approach and personal attention.
